Ammar Elhassani founded TechGigz in 2017 as a tech news platform, which transitioned into a full ecommerce platform in September 2019. With a team based in Amman and Baghdad, TechGigz sells electronics, smart home devices, and gaming supplies across Federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. TechGigz currently has an app available on all platforms and a website, and works with suppliers from the US, China, and Iraq. The startup’s revenue in 2020 was close to $80,000, with fairly good growth in 2020 despite COVID. TechGigz has received $20,000 from Five One Labs to register, expand their number of suppliers, and improve their technology.
